Malaysia said on Saturday it had imposed temporary anti-dumping duties ranging from 3.86% to 57.90% on some steel imports from China, South Korea and Vietnam.
Duties on imports of galvanized rolls or sheets of iron or galvanized rolls or sheets of steel were imposed on the basis of a provisional determination made during the anti-dumping investigation initiated on February 6, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry said in a statement.
“The Government considers that there is sufficient evidence that imports of the goods under consideration. ... is dumping and that investigation should continue," he said.
The provisional duties will take effect on Monday for up to 120 days and a final decision will be made by November 3, the ministry said.
